With more than 30 years of experience in aging services, Stuteville will build on a strong foundation of leadership, service, and community at The Villas by Buckner as he steps into the Executive Director role.
The best leadership transitions don’t always begin with an introduction. Sometimes, they begin with a familiar face.
Since joining The Villas by Buckner as Associate Executive Director in May, Tim Stuteville has spent his first months getting to know residents and working alongside associates, gaining a deeper understanding of what makes The Villas special. Now, he’s ready to lead its next chapter.
The Villas by Buckner is pleased to announce Tim Stuteville as its new Executive Director, bringing more than three decades of leadership experience in aging services to the role.
“I’ve spent my career serving older adults, and one thing never changes: the best communities are built around people,” Stuteville said. “In the short time I’ve been at The Villas, I’ve seen how deeply our associates care about the residents we serve and how much pride there is in this community. I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead this team and build on the strong foundation that’s already here.”
Building on a Strong Foundation
Stuteville isn’t arriving at The Villas as a newcomer.
As Associate Executive Director, he has already worked alongside the community’s leadership team to help lead operations and coordinate care across service levels. Just as importantly, he has had the opportunity to get to know residents, families, and associates.
That familiarity creates valuable continuity as he moves into the Executive Director role.
It also gives Stuteville a clear starting point for his leadership: listen, understand what matters to the people who live and work here, preserve what makes The Villas special, and continue looking for opportunities to make the community even better.
More Than 30 Years of Experience in Aging Services
Stuteville brings extensive operational and leadership experience to The Villas by Buckner.
Prior to joining Buckner Retirement Services, he served as Associate Executive Director at Querencia at Barton Creek, a continuum of care retirement community in Austin. There, he led operations and coordinated care across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing.
His experience extends beyond Austin. Stuteville has served in Interim Executive Director roles supporting senior living communities across Texas, Illinois, and Wisconsin. His background includes both senior living operations and continuum-of-care services.
Stuteville holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions from Southwest Texas State University.
Leadership That’s Personal
More than 30 years in aging services has shaped Stuteville’s approach to leadership and reinforced the importance he places on the people who live and work within a community.
“Residents have trusted us with an important chapter of their lives, and families have trusted us with people they love,” Stuteville said. “That’s something I take very seriously. We want residents to feel known, supported, and confident about the future, and we want our associates to know that the work they do every day matters.”
That philosophy aligns with Buckner’s mission and The Villas’ commitment to serving older adults with purpose and compassion.
For residents, it means having a leader who understands the many pieces that contribute to a fulfilling community experience, from dining, wellness and programming to services, relationships and quality care.
Honoring a 30-Year Legacy
Stuteville succeeds Doyle Antle, who is retiring as Executive Director following 30 years of service with Buckner.
Antle will remain at The Villas through August 31 to assist with the transition.
“It’s a privilege to follow someone who has given so much of his career to Buckner,” Stuteville said. “Doyle has helped create a strong culture here, and I’m grateful we’ll have this time together during the transition. I’m excited about where The Villas is today and about what we can continue building together.”

As Stuteville begins his role as Executive Director at The Villas, he brings decades of experience, deep knowledge of continuum-of-care operations, and something equally important: enthusiasm for the community he now leads.
His focus for what comes next is straightforward.
Listen to residents and associates. Support the people who make The Villas what it is. Build on what’s working, and continue creating a community where residents can live with purpose, connection and confidence about the future.
